Description
Matrox Maevex 6122 Overview
Designed for demanding environments, the Maevex 6122 Dual 4K HDMI Video Encoder from Matrox is an HDMI 4K video encoder that delivers dual capture, encoding, streaming, and recording, all with zero-latency passthrough. The encoder supports multiple streaming protocols for easy and secure streaming locally or across the world. With two Gigabit Ethernet ports, you can stream to dual networks or separate networks, one for control data and one for video. The 6122 supports RTSP, MPEG2-TS, RTP, SRT, HLS, and RTMP streaming protocols.
Full-Color Depth
The unit’s multi-chroma sub-sampling feature delivers 4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0, and 4:0:0 options to best balance bit rate and high-compression demands of different encoding content, environments, and markets. User-definable bitrates and quantization parameters, as well as various encoding modes to optimize for desktop performance, ultra-low latency, or image quality.
Multiple Protocol Support
It supports a variety of streaming protocols, including RTSP, MPEG2-TS, RTP, SRT, HLS, and RTMP for trouble-free streaming in any environment. With SRT, it achieves ultra-low latency and high-performance streaming even over noisy or unpredictable networks like the public Internet. Whether you’re dealing with a stable LAN connection, a constrained WAN pipeline, an unpredictable open internet transport, a VPN, or the cloud, Maevex 6122 always has the right streaming protocol to keep your streams running smoothly.
Enterprise-Grade Security
Designed for demanding environments, Maevex 6122 ensures enterprise-grade security for content and control. Integration with Microsoft Active Directory provides strong access control, while HTTPS communication secures device management. The verified firmware and vulnerability updates safeguard system integrity, and 802.1x support adds another layer of network authentication. With support for the SRT protocol and AES encryption, every stream is delivered securely and reliably.
Mission-Critical Applications
Ideal for security and surveillance centers, medical environments, military operations, and more, the Maevex 6122 encoder delivers reliable, high-density performance with proven reliability for mission-critical applications. It integrates seamlessly with third-party VMS platforms from providers such as Genetec and Milestone, enabling real-time visualization and control across security and surveillance centers worldwide.
Rack Mountable
This unit is 1 RU tall and a half-rack wide, allowing you to fit two Maevex 6122 encoders side by side in a single 1 RU rack space.
