Description
Multichannel Video Bridge
Designed for flexible video routing, the Vion EX Compact IP Video Gateway from Matrox supports low-latency, multichannel encoding/decoding, transcoding, and cross-conversion of multiple video formats, including IP, H.264, HEVC, JPEG XS, and NDI. It supports ST 2110-22, SRT, RTSP, RTP, and MPEG-2 TS, enabling you to transcode NDI for web delivery via SRT.
Flexible Workflows
Support for 4:2:2 10-bit and 4:4:4 10-bit video, HDMI 2.0, and 12G-SDI enables the Vion EX to support both desktop and broadcast video standards. Ideal for local/cloud IP workflows, collaboration, and live productions, this compact unit enables you to manage color space conversions, bit rates, streaming protocols, and multiple concurrent streams.
IP Conversion
Use the Vion EX to convert, transcode, trans-mux, trans-rate, and transmit/receive compressed IP signals, ensuring that your media distribution is seamless. This includes NDI media and protocol conversion between NDI and SRT or NDI and IPMX.
Multichannel Processing
Multichannel processing includes advanced encoding/decoding, transcoding, and cross-conversion with multiple concurrent and bidirectional streaming.
Up to 4:4:4 Color
Support for up to 4:4:4 color in HEVC and JPEG XS ensures maximum image quality for your content. HEVC 4:4:4 provides efficient, high-performance transmission of desktop video over IP.
Baseband Inputs
In addition to IP source processing, the Vion EX incorporates 12G-SDI, HDMI, and balanced analog audio inputs. Instant content preview is available locally via the SDI and HDMI ports.
