Matching Speaker Cab for Your Silver Jubilee Head
The Marshall 2536 Silver Jubilee is a 140-watt, 2×12″ guitar speaker cabinet known for its distinctive silver vinyl covering and powerful, classic Marshall tone. It is available in both a horizontal (model 2536) and a vertical/angled (model 2536A) configuration.
Key Features and Functionality
Speakers
The cabinet is equipped with two 12" Celestion G12 Vintage speakers, which provide "punchy lows, smooth mids, and creamy highs".
Construction
The cabinet is built with all birch plywood (with MDF corner bracing) and features a closed-back design, which enhances its bass response and projection.
Aesthetics
It features classic Jubilee styling with a striking silver vinyl covering, Marshall script logo, and name plaque.
Portability
It includes side-grip carrying handles for easier transportation, although some user reviews note the absence of built-in casters.
Sound Quality
The cabinet delivers a heavy, clear, and crisp sound, which many prefer over other Marshall cabinets like the 1960 series, describing the tone as warmer. The sound quality is reported to improve even further after the speakers are broken in.
Versatility
The ability to switch between mono and stereo modes makes it adaptable to various amplifier setups.
