Want to add a big, explosive sound to your 1974X combo? Stack it on top of the Marshall 1974CX extension cabinet, and you’ll achieve just that. This cab was exquisitely handwired with old-school construction methods, using reproduced components for maximum authenticity. What’s more, the 1974CX’s Celestion G12M-20 Greenback speaker has been “aged” for true-to-life vintage tone. If you want to take your 1974X combo to a large-scale gig, the 1974CX extension cabinet will give you the sonic muscle you need to be heard. The Marshall 1974CX features robust birch construction with finger-locked joints and an eye-grabbing, Bluesbreaker-inspired look.
Vintage Vibe
The "aged" Greenback speaker is specifically designed to emulate the sound of an original 1960s speaker that has matured over time, delivering a creamy, warm, and rich tone.
Expanded Sound
Adding the 1974CX to the 1974X combo creates a 2x12" configuration, which provides a bigger, more "explosive" sound that is well-suited for larger gigs and fills a room evenly.
Responsiveness
The amp and cabinet combination is highly responsive to playing style and guitar volume control adjustments, offering nuanced and subtle sounds.
Build Quality
The handwired, point-to-point construction and robust birch build are highlighted as premium features that ensure reliability and contribute to the authentic tone, as circuit boards are absent.
