The WA-47F is a faithful recreation of a high-SPL, low-noise classic celebrated as a ‘secret weapon’ across world-class studios. The original ’47-style FET gained massive popularity for its ability to handle fast transients with exceptional detail. Famous artists such as Dave Grohl, Elvis Costello, Daft Punk, REM and more used the original to create some of the most beloved music of all time.

Like the original 47 FET-style mics, the WA-47F takes the sound of the 47-style tube mic and swaps the valve for solid-state FETs, meaning there’s no compromise between capturing rich midrange, detailed bass, and handling very loud sources
Like the original 47 FET-style mic, the WA-47F includes all the features that deliver a complete and professional recording experience.
The WA-47 uses a true reproduction of the K47-style capsule in the original 47 FET mic. Perfect for recordings that require detail and high-end at louder volumes.
The custom USA-made AMI transformer drives the bold sound captured by the capsule, delivering the signature body, midrange presence, and tight brilliance of the K47-style capsule.
The -10 pad provides more headroom to record loud sources with the impressive detail of a large diaphragm condenser.
The switchable 140 Hz high pass filter makes it easy to remove unruly bass noise from sources before you even hit record.
