How it Works
When you put a microphone in front of you, it doesn’t just hear you – it hears the room around you. Even if it’s a cardioid mic and is listening mostly to just you, it’s still picking up reflections from your voice or instrument that are bouncing off the walls and coming back to the mic. The goal of our multi-layered design is to minimize the pickup of such reflections so your primary sound source comes through as pure as possible.

Each SPACE filter is hand-built by our team at the sE factory – not mass-produced by an army of machines – and made to last for years and years of recording.
Patented Multi-Layer Technology
The SPACE also utilizes our most advanced patented multi-layer technologies to create a balanced, acoustically neutral environment around your microphone. This means the SPACE doesn’t affect the sound of your favorite microphones, which can happen with imitation “reflection filters” from other brands.
Control High & Low-End Frequencies With One Device
So why not just put some cardboard or foam behind the mic? Well, Some materials are good at absorbing or reflecting particular frequencies – for example, foam absorbs highs really well, but does nothing for lows. sE Reflexion Filters work evenly across the whole frequency spectrum.
Ultra-Stable Hardware
New specialized mounting hardware allows the SPACE to be easily mounted on any microphone stand or drum hardware, with a full range of motion – adjustable and lockable horizontally, vertically, and tilted at any angle. This makes the SPACE utterly stable and effective in any recording environment.
