This model includes all the features of ATEM SDI Pro ISO model but has 8 SDI inputs and 4 SDI outputs. It can record 9 separate H.264 video streams in real time, allowing capture of all 8 clean feed inputs as well as the program video. A DaVinci Resolve project file is also saved.

With Ethernet connection, the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO can livestream directly to your favorite platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, all in stunning quality without dropping frames. Also, if you’re out on the field and need to access the Internet quickly, the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO can connect via USB to Apple or Android phones and utilize their 5G or 4G mobile data. Record easily to USB flash disks in H.264 video files and AAC audio, and upload your files wherever you need them. What’s more, users can feel comfortable using a variety of broadcast-quality cameras with the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO because all sources re-synch to the switcher automatically. That's nine separate H.264 video streams, packing in eight clean ISO video feeds in addition to program video!

However you roll, the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO can connect both desktop and lapel microphones to its dual independent 3.5mm stereo audio inputs. You’ll easily be able to control the audio levels, thanks to dedicated buttons on the ATEM's face. The Extreme model gains users a headphone jack for direct workflow optimization. You’ll also benefit from a Fairlight audio mixer with compressor, limiter, and 6-band EQ — live sound mixing during your streams and broadcasting has never been easier!

A brilliant broadcast-quality switcher

For those interested in careers in broadcasting, the ATEM SDI Extreme ISO offers features found in high-end broadcast studios like ATEM Advanced Chroma Key, Fairlight audio mixer, DVE, Still Store for graphics, and more. Select the Cut or Auto buttons to choose between cut or effects transitions like dissolve, dip to color DVE squeeze, DVE push, and more. Access even more extended features, thanks to the built-in ATEM Software Control app on Mac/Windows through USB or Ethernet.

When you first receive your ATEM SDI Extreme ISO, it’ll function in “cut bus” mode. Users can easily change this to “program/preview” style operation to suit their needs. The former operational mode takes little effort to master, while the latter operational mode most closely resembles that used by professional broadcasters.

Chroma keying, virtual sets, and SuperSource!

The ATEM SDI Extreme ISO hooks you up with an uber-powerful green-screen keying effect with four separate ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers. This enables per-camera keying, with the other four computer inputs available for designing professional virtual sets. Macro setups let you load your chosen backgrounds into media players. Use a color picker to sample background colors, take advantage of a foreground color corrector, and precisely control edge and flare. Even create graphics and use them in concert with the Chroma Key for title overlays!

The ATEM SDI Extreme ISO makes multi-layering easier with SuperSource, providing four extra DVE layers and a background layer. Essentially, you can assign a SuperSource DVE to any ATEM SDI Extreme input and effortlessly layer your sources overtop a unique background for instantaneous and pro-grade picture-in-picture results — ideal for multi-source interviews and more!
