The WA-47jr series is a contemporary version of the legendary 47-style studio microphone that delivers rich analog tone with modern circuitry. WA-47jr & WA-47jr SE mics are equally at home in a project studio or in a world-class recording facility. Each features a vintage-correct reproduction of the lauded K47-style capsule, the same capsule in the flagship WA-47 tube mic. The capsule has the same tonal character known for capturing legendary recordings by classic and modern artists including The Beatles, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Adele and many more.

Combining possibly the greatest classic condenser capsule of all time with our carefully crafted, modern circuits, the WA-47jr mics deliver that analog warmth and pristine detail for capturing everything from vocals, to toms, to acoustic guitar. Available with onboard controls and multiple patterns or a streamlined cardioid-only design, the WA-47jr mics all have a discrete signal path, exceptional dynamic range, and ultra-low self-noise. The sound profile of the WA-47jr series blends past and present to achieve the ideal blend of vintage tone and modern performance.
KEY FEATURES
The WA-47jr series is built around the same vintage-accurate K47-style capsule in our flagship WA-47 mic. The WA-47jr offers additional controls and multiple polar patterns, while the WA-47jr SE delivers a streamlined cardioid-only design of this classic tone.
The WA-47jr series uses a true reproduction of the K47-style capsule in the original 47 tube mic – the same capsule used in our award-winning flagship WA-47 tube mic. Perfect for adding instant vintage-vibe to any recording.
WA-47jr (only) features a selectable -10dB pad that allows the WA-47jr to handle SPLs up to 157dB, making capturing loud sources easy.
WA-47jr (only) features three polar patterns (cardioid, omni, and figure-8) give you a variety of options to choose how you want to capture stereo sounds and reject noise. WA-47jr SE features a fixed cardioid polar pattern for intimate, focused recordings. Perfect for vocals and lead instruments.
WA-47jr (only) features a switchable 70 Hz high pass filter making it easy to remove unruly bass noise from sources before you even hit record.
